Projects
A job with five site visits and ten work orders — and nobody can say off the top of their head how much of the agreed budget has already been spent without manually adding it all up.
Bundle the work orders for a larger job under one project with phases and an automatic sequence number. Budget progress updates live as work orders are signed off and invoiced — draft work orders deliberately don't count yet.
BRL 100 and STEK are Dutch national certification schemes — full support today is NL-only. See our honest country-coverage disclosure.
What it does
- Automatic sequence number per year (PRJ-2026-0001, …), just like work orders and quotes.
- Phases within a project to break a large job into manageable pieces.
- Link a work order to a project (and optionally a phase) from the work order detail page — or unlink it again.
- Live budget progress: only work orders with status signed-off or invoiced count as "spent"; outstanding draft work orders are counted separately, not included.
- Statuses: Active, On hold, Completed, Cancelled.
- Visible only to office roles (owner/admin) — project budget is just as commercially sensitive as contract value, so it stays out of view for installers.

Use cases
How installers use this module day to day
A renovation with multiple site visits
Every visit gets its own work order, linked to the same project — you don't add up the progress by hand.
Keeping a fixed-price project on track
Budget entered up front; as soon as spent work orders exceed the budget, that's visible immediately instead of only at the final invoice.
Splitting a large job into phases
Demolition, installation and handover as separate phases within the same project — each work order attached to the right phase.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can an installer see or create projects?
No. Project budget is commercially sensitive, so /projecten is, like /contracten, only accessible to office roles (owner/admin).
Does a draft work order count towards budget progress?
No, deliberately not. Only signed-off and invoiced work orders count as spent; an outstanding draft could still change and would inflate progress unfairly.
Does the Projects module cost extra?
No. Projects is included in every plan, like the rest of the core modules.
